Seeking Tax Breaks? Relocate to Houston!
As mentioned on my March 10, 2010 blog posting, we will be focusing over the next few months on topics relating to Houston relocation including communities surrounding Houston, in Houston, as well as simple topics that relate to Houston relocation. To start I’d like to focus on taxes and spending.
One of the key ingredients to the state of Texas’ economic growth and stimulation as well as the influx of new residents has been their conservative approach to taxation of residents and businesses. Texas desires to see their residents and businesses flourishing. When business flourishes the economy is given a much needed boost of “serotonin”, in a sense, and smiles abound. It’s no wonder what-so-ever that so many individuals, families, and businesses have been relocating to Houston from states like California.
With California continuing to increase the taxation of residents and especially of businesses in record numbers we are seeing quite a few Californians relocate to our great state of Texas to take advantage of the tax friendly atmosphere Texans currently enjoy. And while we could certainly get into a debate about the disadvantages of living in California that is not the purpose of this blog. There are plenty of amazing reasons in which to live in such a beautiful state as California. However, this blog post is directed towards those who see and would like to reap the benefits of a tax friendly state like Texas.
With Texas remaining a tax friendly state, as mentioned, many people and businesses are relocating to Houston and other metropolitan areas. And with such as influx of tax paying residents our economy has been reaping the benefits of increased business growth, increased salaries, and residents with larger budgets to spend as they choose. And the cycle continues! Increased business, salaries and budgets. And with that increased salary and savings you can fly home for the holidays to spend time with your family or take a wild vacation to the Caribbean!
Stay tuned as we have plenty more to discuss on the benefits of relocation to Houston, some obstacles you may encounter, as well as some of the great communities around Houston to consider during your relocation.
