Katy Homes: New Home Inspections
We’ve now talked about termite inspections and mold inspections the past few weeks. In keeping with the home inspection theme… let’s talk about new homes in Katy. If you are about to purchase a new home prior to it even being built; are home inspections necessary? Absolutely!
In fact, when Katy homes are being constructed there are various stages during the building process that warrant home inspections; foundation inspection, frame phase inspection, and finally the “final” inspection.
Just as with pre-existing homes, new homes can also present problems. No home is perfect and it would be a big mistake to assume that a new home was without imperfections.
If you are considering the purchase of new Katy homes for sale, be sure to hire a licensed home inspector to examine the home before the close of escrow. If problems are found the home price may be adjusted down or you may be able to have the home builder correct said issues. Either way, you are going to be able to relax knowing that you’ve purchased a sound investment for your future.
If you do not have the opportunity to see that proper inspections are done yourself be sure to obtain the proper documents from the builder showing proof that these inspections were performed. However, whenever possible, be sure to hire your own home inspector to ensure that all your i’s are dotted and t’s crossed.
