Reduce the Stress of Moving to Katy – Part 2
In a blog post last week I talked about the stress of moving to new homes in Katy, Texas. The main point of that blog was to identify the cause of your stress in order to employ preventative measures. For example, if you have a hobby that you enjoy that requires you purchase unusual items you may want to find websites online that sell these items or research online to find stores that sell these items right in their stores. Having hobbies tend to relieve stress as well. Be sure to find out where you are able to purchase items to enjoy your hobby or if you are in need of a specific venue (like an art studio).
This is just one thing that you may want to consider when moving to Katy. This blog is a continuation of last weeks blog with some ideas of things you should research about your new neighborhood in Katy.
1. Grocery Stores in Katy – Find the two closest grocery stores to your Katy home and map the various routes to these grocery stores from your home and from your place of work. Mid-move take a trip to the grocery store to begin filling your refrigerator with treats and healthy foods.
2. Favorite Katy Restaurants – Find restaurants in Katy that serve your favorite types of food on Yelp.com. After a long day(s) of moving you deserve a bite to eat of your favorite food. This is also a great way to begin getting used to your new surroundings. If your taste buds are adventurous I recommend trying Atami Steak & Sushi.
3. Entertainment in Katy – Once you’ve finished unpacking and have everything in your new home perfectly placed plan a local adventure as a reward for yourself and family. If you love museums… find a museum in Katy that peeks your interest. The Forbidden Gardens is a local favorite. If you’re a golf lover definitely spend the day learning about your neighborhood golf course in Katy, Texas.
4. Purchase a Navigation System - Purchasing a navigational system could be one of the best ways to reduce your stress levels as well. Add the addresses of places you plan to visit at least once each month to your navigational system to make getting to and from these places a snap.
These are just a few ideas to help relieve some of the stress of moving into new homes in Katy. Stay tuned for a continuation of this blog next week!
