Halloween in Cinco Ranch
With Halloween right around the corner families in Cinco Ranch are scrambling to prepare. Walk through any neighborhood in Cinco Ranch and you are sure to find some very scary front yard displays with headstones, spider webs, pumpkins, and so much more. It’s a treat to how many Cinco Ranch residents enjoy celebrating this spooky day.
While most of you have already carved your perfect pumpkins, some of you waited till the last minute to ensure your pumpkin would be at its best when trick-or-treaters arrive at your doorstep. If you’re in a hurry, try using a stencil that you may purchase from the pumpkin patch or your local grocery store to help create the best pumpkin on the block.
Some of you may also have waited until the last minute to purchase candy for the kids that come dressed as ghouls and goblins, witches and fairies, or their favorite super hero. You’ll definitely want to get to the store quickly, though. If you open your door empty-handed… you never know what could happen.
Candy Warnings
The U.S. Food and Drug Administration issued consumer warnings about White Rabbit Creamy Candy and Koala’s March Crème filled Cookies because they may contain melamine. You may remember that melamine is the chemical that was recently found in Chinese milk supplies that poisoned and killed countless children. While the risk, if exposed, is considered to be extremely low, it is certainly wise to avoid eating these candies. See pictures of these candies or visit the U.S. Food and Drug Administration page that talks about melamine.
Enjoy a safe and spooky Halloween this Friday throughout Cinco Ranch neighborhoods!
